Cumbrian Motorhome Hire is a family run business based in Greystoke near Penrith, Cumbria. Our Northern Lakes location makes us the ideal place to hire a motorhome for exploring Cumbria, the Lake District, Yorkshire, Scotland, Northumbria or even further afield. Less than 10 minutes from the M6, only 30 miles from the Scottish border and 5 miles from Ullswater this really is the perfect location!
Our Motorhome – A Burstner Nexxo T660
Our motorhome is a Burstner Nexxo T660, called Derwent. He is based on the reliable Ford Transit chassis and with a 2.2 Diesel engine with 5 speed gearbox. Holidaying in a motor home is wonderful, it gives you the freedom to go on an adventure. You have the opportunity to experience wild camping, beside the sea, a lake or in the woods, with amazing views or surrounded by trees, your choice. Derwent is self sufficient so wild camping with luxury, shower, toilet heating even the television if you want it. Or you can choose to book into a camp site. Bring your dog, no extra cost. Unlimited mileage included. Ideal for couples, Derwent has a comfortable rear French bed.

About our Motorhome
Lounge & Dining
The motorhome driver and passenger seats rotate to give a comfortable social lounge area with forward-facing dinette seat and inward-facing sofa. Rail-mounted, single-leg dining table includes a drop-in extension to provide dining for up to six people. This area converts into a single/small double bed.
Gas/electric blown air heating provides comfort even in cold weather.
A television/DVD player is concealed in a cupboard on a pull out bracket. A radio and cd player are part of the cab fittings. This operates from both mains and battery, connections supplied. It operates on either 12 or 240 volt mains so is available when wild camping. Please note in the Lake District TV signals can be weak or nonexistent in some of the valleys.
Kitchen
The kitchen area has a 3 burner hob, sink, drainer and a 97 litre fridge/freezer. The oven/grill operates on both on mains electric or gas.
Shower / Toilet
Electric flush toilet next to an enclosed shower – glass folding doors keep the toilet and washbasin dry when showering. Corner handbasin with storage below.
Storage
There is ample storage in all areas, including a cupboard with front to back hanging rail. A garage is accessible from the outside and inside is storage for camping table and chairs etc. There is a bike rack for up to four bikes – max 50 kilos weight.
